Keeping you Up-to-Date with Changes to the LAQM Pages
The LAQM Helpdesk is operated on behalf of Defra and the Devolved Administrations by Bureau Veritas, in conjunction with contract partners AECOM and the National Physical Laboratory, and replaces the three previously separate helpdesks which were in operation for LAQM.

- A note providing some further information on the alternatives method that might be useful for projecting NO2 concentrations is available here.

- To assist local authorities who need background maps for undertaking their 2012 Updating and Screening Assessments - a revised total 2010 background maps for NOx, NO2,and PM10 is now available from the LAQM Helpdesk. The data are available here.

- The National Diffusion Tube Bias Spreadsheet for 2011 is now available. Click here for more information.
- The summary of diffusion tube precision results for individual laboratories for 2011 is now available here.

- Links to a new toolkit and guidance document designed to assist local authorities introduce low carbon buses using powers under the Local Transport Act have been added here. The guidance is produced by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership.

- The new Diffusion Tube Data Entry System for England is now available to local authorities to update their diffusion tube information. Please click here for more details and to access the log-in page.

- Further information about changes to Road Traffic Emissions Factors and LAQM Tools is now available here as a FAQ.
- Local Authorities are reminded to return collocation studies for diffusion tubes by Friday 16th March 2012 for inclusion (pending data quality checks) in the next National Bias Adjustment Spreadsheet due in March 2012. Click here for more information.

- A new FAQ system is now available at http://laqm.defra.gov.uk/laqm-faqs/on the LAQM website has been updated to make relevant FAQs easier to find, and enable keyword searching. This means FAQs will no longer be available as PDF documents and we hope that the new search function will be more user friendly. We welcome any new suggestions for FAQs, and if you think any key words are missing to help you search for FAQs, then please let us know.
10th February 2012
- A new Report Template for the USA 2012 for local authorities who wish to prepare their USA as part of a Regional Group (including several authorities) is now available and can be downloaded on the Report Templates page. This template is based on the USA 2012 Template for England local authorities, and includes a series of changes and suggestions to rationalise and simplify the reporting process for Regional Groups.

- The RSW has now been updated allowing users to upload their Updating and Screening Assessment 2012, due end of April. Report Templates for the USA 2012 are available on the RSW. Alternatively, they can be downloaded here.

- Users are advised that the RSW will not be available whilst a system upgrade is being made. The upgrade will be taking place between 2nd - 9th January 2012 and users willl not have access to the RSW during this time.

- The report investigating the effects of harmonisation of diffusion tubes preparation and analysis methods has been added here.
