Review and Assessment

Introduction
These pages are designed to assist local authorities (and those working on behalf of local authorities) with the Local Air Quality Review and Assessment process prescribed under Part IV of the Environment Act 1995. The Review and Assessment process requires local authorities to review local air quality and assess whether health-based air quality objectives will be achieved. If it is predicted that these will not be achieved an Air Quality Management Area must be designated and an Air Quality Action Plan put in place to improve air quality to acceptable levels.
